Over twenty years experience designing, specifying, implementing, and testing mission critical telecommunications facilities and data centers. A registered Professional Engineer and LEED AP with MS degrees in Electrical Engineering and Engineering Management, I meet or exceed all requirements for a Senior Electrical Engineering roles.
Was a key member of the team that designed the first nationwide satellite interconnection systems for television and radio, for which our team received a Technical Emmy Award. After this system was implemented, led a team that completed many systems projects including communications upgrades, new facilities, frequency coordination, and a lightning protection upgrade at the primary satellite uplink and radio tower facility.
Working for an Architectural and Engineering firm in Atlanta, was responsible for designing, specifying, budgeting, implementing, and testing the first totally optical Ethernet design for 1000+ camera closed-circuit television surveillance system with wireless access throughout a city-wide transit system. Each transit station has secure facilities, RAID data storage at a secondary backup location, advanced grounding and lightning protection, UPS backup power, and emergency utility power from a second power substation.
Was also responsible for several extensive expansion projects of the Supervisory, Control, and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system that reports alarms from fire, security, power, HVAC, and communications equipment.
Experienced AutoCAD 2008 user and have extensive experience writing proposals, RFPs, and cost estimates, and business cases reviewing and approving design submittals and drawings representing clients to contractors conducting field inspections supervising field personnel and leading successful projects to completion.
